Writing is an
exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.
—E.L. Doctorow
He, the prisoner with compliance issues, turned his back on
one and then the other and fell to the ground faster than the airborne confetti
around him. Did he not hear the directives? Did he not see the red laser dot on
his torso? First one spoke, then the other, and so he turned, not once but
twice before moving forward. Not to worry, everything would be sorted out,
including the serialized confetti littering the floor.
“He wouldn’t comply with my order,” the first one said.
“He started coming at me,” the other one said.
From my understanding—and what would I know, I am
non-custody, I am civilian staff—but from the training video I viewed, in order
to carry a taser, in order to be able to use it, you had to be willing to
undergo a bit of shock therapy yourself. Thankfully, the approved use of tasers
in the prison has cut down on staff assaults.
“So,” someone in the lunchroom asked, “both you guys tased
the prisoner?”
“Simultaneously,” one of them said. “I zapped him in the
front and he zapped him in the back.”
“That had to hurt,” I said to no one in particular.
I’m leaving Taser Land for two weeks. Take care everyone.
See you in the virtual universe in mid-July.

If anyone deserves a break it's me...but you travel safely Jim and enjoy the overdose of bullshit detoxing from your system. Happy travels my friend, we'll get together when you get back OK?
Enjoyed the read. Don't forget to write. MW
Hm.
They taser Polacks in Canada, don't they?
Happy Independence, Jim, oh ya~!
Great read JR. Enjoy the vacation.
RW came back to work yesterday. Glad to see him. He's hearing all
the rumors about your successes and he can't wait to shake that hand. Happy Fourth Huck :)
I'm glad to hear that RW is back!!! I'm loving it hear in Sweden (as well as Denmark - love those Danish women).
... not "hear" but "here". My English is getting worse.
Sounds like you made it to one of those clothing optional beaches. Keep your sunglasses on and a magazine in your lap....:)
Huck's Gang
The L.E. Doctrow quote.
I am probably jealous of L.E. Doctorow's success, but his novel, Ragtime was the most depresssing thing I've read next to the Gulag Archipelago.
Talk about "learning as you go."
JR sorry about the gang. Freedom of speech kind of thing, Voltaire inspired, but they are giving you some pointers. They asked me to tell you to keep some PF 50 suntan
lotion on hand for all those hard to reach places you made need to apply...enjoy your vacation, and thanks for writing. MW
JR - I'm curious - what is so great about Danish women?
Dear Anonymous Question-Asker:
I made the Danish comment to elicit Prudish questions. Danes or Prudes? An easy choice.
JR. the gang is asking if you meant prunish as in shrivled up and dry, or prudes as in not again in your lifetime? I can see where it might just be the same. Hopin you can make it through London with the Olympics and we'11 see
when you get back. Huck and the gang. :)
Have to agree with Huck and his gang. Your use of the double entendre is inspiring. Let us know when you get back.
